The 2nd EnWaRec Consortium Meeting took place on 26 March 2026 at ISQ in Porto Salvo, near Lisbon, Portugal. The meeting brought together project partners to review progress across all Work Packages, align on next technical steps, and coordinate upcoming activities within the project.
The day opened with a welcome session hosted by ISQ (Marco Estrela), followed by an overview of project management and coordination delivered by the coordinator BFI. Work Package leaders then presented updates and key discussion points, covering:
• WP2 – Determination of current and future conditions and requirements (ADI)
• WP3 – Development of suitable scaling and corrosion protection (RINA-CSM)
• WP4 – Development of suitable reuse of recovered heat and energy (BFI)
• WP5 – Validation in industrial environment (DH)
• WP6 – Environmental and economic evaluation (ISQ)
• WP7 – Dissemination, communication, and exploitation (QuestHub)
In addition to the technical sessions, the consortium addressed financial and administrative topics led by BFI, and concluded with an open discussion to consolidate decisions and define immediate next steps.
On the evening prior to the meeting, partners also gathered for a common dinner in Lisbon, providing an opportunity for informal exchange and strengthening collaboration across the consortium.
